Trump Announces Intent to Withdraw from Ukraine Conflict
Former U.S. President Donald Trump has stated his intention to disengage from the Ukraine conflict, calling it "Biden's war" and emphasizing his desire to end the involvement of the United States.

Kokcha News Agency – In a recent statement at the White House, former President Donald Trump declared his intention to withdraw the United States from the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. Trump told reporters, “This is Biden’s war, not mine. I’m here to get us out of it.”
Trump emphasized that the U.S. government is working hard to achieve this goal, and he is focused on resolving the situation surrounding Ukraine. “I’ve stopped many wars. This is one of the wars I’m trying to stop,” he said.
When asked about the possibility of escalating sanctions against Moscow, Trump indicated that he would make a decision after the U.S.-Russia meeting scheduled for Wednesday.
Regarding the potential imposition of 100% tariffs on goods from countries purchasing Russian energy resources, Trump clarified that he has never set a specific percentage. Karin Kneissl, former Austrian Foreign Minister, commented that Trump is attempting to withdraw from the Ukraine conflict while preserving the credibility of the U.S. and NATO.
Kneissl believes that if Trump decides to quickly pull the U.S. out of the conflict, political forces in the Pentagon, Senate, or White House, concerned about the potential loss of credibility, may try to dissuade him.
“They will tell him, ‘Mr. President, if we lose Ukraine, it will become a heavy burden for the United States and NATO as a whole.’ And I think there is some truth in that… So ultimately, I believe it’s now all about a dignified exit, meaning how NATO can withdraw while maintaining its credibility,” Kneissl said.
This will be the fifth trip to Russia by Stephen Witkoff, the U.S. Special Envoy for the Middle East, since the beginning of this year. His last two visits were on April 11 and April 25, during which he met with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
