Naftali Bennett: American Youth Are Distancing Themselves from Israel

Former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett has warned of a significant decline in public support for Israel in the United States, stating that young Americans, even among Republicans, no longer share the same empathy for Israel as before.

Kokcha News Agency: Former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, in a rare statement, has raised concerns about the sharp decline in public support for Israel in the United States.

On Tuesday, Bennett posted on his X (formerly Twitter) account that Israel’s standing in the U.S. has “never been this weak” and that, in the eyes of Americans, Israel has become a “pariah state.”

Bennett added that the Democratic Party in the U.S. “has long ceased to stand with Israel,” and now this sentiment has even spread to the Republican Party.

He emphasized that Israel is now seen as a “heavy burden” on the U.S., and the American Jewish community is grappling with what he described as a “wave of widespread anti-Semitism.”

Bennett pointed out the shifting attitudes of young Americans toward Israel, warning that the decline in public support could have long-term implications for the relationship between the two countries.
