During a joint press conference, Erdoğan expressed Turkey’s commitment to strengthening ties with Africa and vowed that those responsible for the suffering in Gaza would be held accountable.

The leaders reviewed various aspects of Turkey-Senegal relations, including trade, investment, and defense cooperation. Erdoğan highlighted the growing economic ties between the two countries, stating that Turkish companies have invested nearly $3 billion in Senegal and expressing a desire to increase bilateral trade to $1 billion.

Erdoğan also thanked Senegal for its support in Turkey’s fight against FETÖ (the Gülenist Terror Group) and emphasized Turkey’s long-standing historical ties with Africa, dating back to the 10th century.

On Gaza:
Erdoğan strongly condemned the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza, stating, “Those who have driven people to starvation will be held accountable. The innocent children reduced to skin and bones by hunger will see justice served in the eyes of law and history.” He reiterated Turkey’s commitment to continuing its struggle until the genocide in Gaza ends and those responsible for the suffering of innocent children are brought to justice.

Agreements Signed:
The visit also saw the signing of several agreements aimed at strengthening the legal framework for cooperation between Turkey and Senegal.
