U.S. President Donald Trump announced that his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin will take place on August 15 in Alaska, with a potential peace deal involving territorial exchanges between Moscow and Kyiv.

Kokcha News Agency – U.S. President Donald Trump has revealed that his highly anticipated meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin will occur on August 15 in Alaska.

The announcement came after a joint press conference with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, where Trump also hinted at a possible peace deal between Russia and Ukraine that could involve territorial exchanges.

Trump stated that the peace agreement might include “some land swaps” between Moscow and Kyiv, emphasizing that the deal would be in the best interest of both parties.

Previously, Putin had suggested the United Arab Emirates as a potential meeting location, while Trump hinted at a “popular destination.” Istanbul had also been rumored as a possible venue.

Putin’s Ceasefire Condition:
In a related development, The Wall Street Journal reported that Putin had conveyed to Trump’s special envoy, Steve Witkoff, that he would agree to a full ceasefire if Eastern Ukraine were ceded to Russia and Ukrainian forces withdrew entirely from Donetsk.

This proposal has raised concerns among European and Ukrainian officials, who were briefed by the Trump administration on the matter.

The meeting between Trump and Putin is seen as a critical step toward resolving the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, with the potential for significant geopolitical shifts in the region.
