UK Ministry of Defence Concealed Years of Radioactive Water Leak into the Sea

Kokcha News Agency: A British publication has exposed that the UK Ministry of Defence has concealed years of radioactive water leakage from a nuclear bomb storage facility near Coulport, Scotland, into the sea.

The radioactive materials leaked into Loch Long, a sea bay near Glasgow in western Scotland, due to the Royal Navy’s failure to properly maintain a network of 1,500 water pipes.

The contaminated water, containing radioactive tritium—a substance used in nuclear warheads—leaked from these pipes. The Ministry of Defence has reportedly known about the issue for years but failed to address it or inform the public.
