European Countries Impose Heavy Fines on Irresponsible Tourists
European countries are cracking down on tourists who break the rules, imposing heavy fines for behaviors such as drinking alcohol in public spaces or smoking in children’s parks.

Kokcha News Agency: European countries are taking strict measures against tourists who violate local rules, imposing hefty fines to deter irresponsible behavior. In Portugal’s popular coastal town of Albufeira, wearing swimwear outside the beach can result in a fine of up to 1,500 euros.
In Spain, drinking alcohol in public areas in popular tourist destinations can lead to fines of up to 3,000 euros. In Malaga, authorities have even prepared 10-point information boards to educate tourists on expected behavior. Local residents in tourist areas report that police are constantly monitoring to enforce these rules.
Protecting Local Communities:
In France, smoking on public beaches or in children’s play areas can result in a fine of 90 euros. In Greece, collecting seashells can cost tourists up to 1,000 euros, while swimming in Venice’s canals carries a fine of 350 euros.
Authorities argue that while the fines may seem harsh, their primary goal is to protect local communities and responsible vacationers.
