Kokcha News Agency: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a press conference to explain the details of the “Gaza occupation” plan approved by his cabinet. Netanyahu argued that Israel has “no choice but to complete its mission and defeat Hamas,” as the group refuses to lay down its arms.
“Gaza Plan is the Best Way to End the War”:
Netanyahu stated that the new military operation planned for Gaza would target Hamas’s last two strongholds, claiming that the “Gaza City plan is the best way to end the war.” He also mentioned that the military has been instructed to bring more foreign journalists into Gaza, saying, “We expect to complete the new Gaza operation plan fairly quickly.”
“I Don’t Want to Prolong the War”:
Netanyahu suggested that Israel would open new security corridors and aid centers in Gaza, emphasizing, “Our goal is not to occupy Gaza but to liberate it from Hamas. I don’t want to prolong the war. Prolonging the war could mean many hostages die of starvation.”
