Kokcha News Agency: Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Türkiye’s first president to be elected directly by the people, has completed 11 years in office. The constitutional amendment in 2007, which introduced the direct election of the president, paved the way for Erdoğan’s election on August 10, 2014, when he secured 51.79% of the vote, becoming the 12th president of the Republic of Türkiye.
During his tenure, Türkiye has witnessed significant developments in various fields, including security, democracy, economy, technology, and defense industries. Erdoğan’s leadership has also been marked by active diplomacy in foreign policy, particularly in addressing critical global issues such as Israel’s attacks on Gaza, the Ukraine-Russia war, and the Somaliland crisis between Ethiopia and Somalia.
