Trump Warns Putin Ahead of Alaska Summit: Russia Will Face Consequences if War Continues

U.S. President Donald Trump has stated that if his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin goes well, he wants to hold a second meeting shortly thereafter, involving Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Trump also warned that Russia will face consequences if it does not end the war.

Kokcha News Agency reports that U.S. President Donald Trump has expressed his desire to hold a second meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy if his initial meeting with Putin goes well.

Trump made the announcement during a press briefing, stating, “If the first meeting goes well, we’ll have a short second meeting immediately after. I’d like to do this right away, and if they agree, we’ll have a short second meeting with President Putin, President Zelenskyy, and myself.”

Trump also described his recent meetings with European leaders as “10 out of 10” in terms of productivity and issued a stern warning to Russia, saying, “If Russia does not end the war, it will face the consequences.”

Alaska Summit on August 15:
Trump and Putin are expected to meet in Alaska on August 15 to discuss the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war, which has been raging since 2022. The talks are expected to focus on peace-building efforts in the conflict.

European leaders and Ukraine have emphasized that Ukraine’s rights must be protected during the negotiations.
