Afghan Resistance Front Sends Message of Reconciliation to Pakistan on Independence Day
The National Resistance Front of Afghanistan has called on Islamabad to join forces in addressing shared threats to regional peace and security, marking a shift in its traditionally tense relationship with Pakistan.
Kokcha News Agency – On the occasion of Pakistan’s Independence Day, the National Resistance Front (NRF) of Afghanistan has extended a message of reconciliation to Islamabad, urging cooperation to counter common threats to regional peace and security.
Ali Maisam Nazary, the NRF’s head of foreign relations, emphasized the need for a new era of regional friendship based on mutual respect and shared interests in a statement congratulating Pakistan on its Independence Day.
This new approach comes amid historically strained relations between the NRF and Pakistan, with the resistance front repeatedly accusing Islamabad of supporting the Taliban.
However, it appears that NRF leaders are now seeking to rebuild ties and explore avenues for strategic cooperation—a move that could significantly impact Afghanistan’s political and security landscape.
