World Muslim Scholars Association Condemns Netanyahu’s “Greater Israel” Vision

“Kokcha News Agency” – The World Muslim Scholars Association has issued a statement condemning the “settler and expansionist ideas and projects” adopted by Israeli officials, particularly Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s so-called “Greater Israel” vision.

In the statement, the Association described Israel’s “Greater Israel” project as illegitimate and in violation of international law. It emphasized that Israel’s policies of expanding Palestinian territories, Judaizing Jerusalem, and forcing the displacement of the Palestinian people amount to “systematic genocide and ethnic cleansing.”

The Association also stated that Gaza serves as a shield of resistance for the Islamic Ummah and that its occupation poses a significant danger to all Muslims. It called on the Islamic world to unite against these occupation projects and urged the international community to take action to save Gaza.

The Association rejected any form of normalization with Israel and called on Islamic countries to support Palestinian resistance through all legitimate means. It also urged the international community to avoid complicity in Israel’s annexation and permanent occupation efforts and to take concrete steps to stop these policies.

Netanyahu Claims a “Historic and Spiritual Mission”
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claimed that he feels he has taken on a “historic and spiritual mission” and remains committed to the vision of a “Greater Israel,” which includes occupied Palestinian territories.

When asked by an i24 News reporter if he felt connected to the “Greater Israel” vision, Netanyahu responded, “Very much.”

Recently, far-right Israeli MP Sharon Gal gifted Netanyahu a talisman symbolizing “Greater Israel.”

The term “Greater Israel” has been used by some Zionists, including Zeev Jabotinsky, the founder of the Revisionist Zionist movement and ideological father of the ruling Likud party, to refer to modern-day Israel as well as the occupied territories of the Gaza Strip, West Bank, and Jordan.
