Pakistan Warns Taliban and India: Stop Supporting Militants and Destabilizing Pakistan
Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, General Asim Munir, has accused the Afghan Taliban of directing militants to carry out attacks in Pakistan and warned India to stop using proxy groups to destabilize the country.

Kokcha News Agency – Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, General Asim Munir, has issued a stern warning to the Afghan Taliban and India, accusing them of supporting militant groups that are destabilizing Pakistan. Speaking to reporters in Brussels, Munir alleged that the Afghan Taliban is directing members of the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) to carry out attacks within Pakistan.
Munir emphasized that protecting the lives of every Pakistani is the government’s responsibility and that Pakistan is determined to take action against such threats. He also accused India of escalating a proxy war against Pakistan, claiming that New Delhi is using groups like the TTP and Baloch separatists to achieve its objectives after recent setbacks in conflicts.
In response, the Afghan Taliban has denied these allegations, with Interior Minister Sirajuddin Haqqani stating that countries should not blame the Taliban for their internal issues. However, Pakistani officials believe that around 6,000 TTP members are operating from Afghan soil, a claim supported by UN experts.
Munir also highlighted Pakistan’s diplomatic relations with global powers, stating that Pakistan has a long history of maintaining balanced ties with both China and the United States. He praised former U.S. President Donald Trump’s efforts to broker peace between Pakistan and India, noting that Pakistan was the first country to support Trump’s nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize.
Tensions between Pakistan and the Afghan Taliban continue to rise over the presence of militant groups along their shared border, with Pakistan demanding decisive action from the Taliban to curb these activities.
