Ibrahim Abdulmalik Olabi Appointed as Syria’s UN Permanent Representative

Kokcha News Agency: The Syrian Foreign Ministry has announced that Ibrahim Abdulmalik Olabi has been appointed as Syria’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations in New York, with the rank of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, following a decree by President Bashar al-Assad.

Olabi, a dual British and German citizen, is a renowned human rights lawyer with a strong academic and professional background. Born in Saudi Arabia, he completed his education at the University of Manchester and the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom, specializing in human rights, international law, and public policy.

Olabi has served as a consultant for prominent organizations such as the United Nations and the International Bar Association (IBA). He has gained recognition for both his field work and international advocacy.
