Lavrov: Ukraine Does Not Want a Lasting Solution to the Conflict
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has accused Ukraine of showing no interest in a stable and long-term resolution to the ongoing conflict, claiming that Kyiv is even undermining efforts by Donald Trump to end the war.
Kokcha News Agency*– Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has stated that Ukraine is clearly demonstrating a lack of willingness to pursue a stable and long-term resolution to the conflict. Lavrov made these remarks during a recent address, where he also accused Kyiv of attempting to undermine efforts by former U.S. President Donald Trump to bring an end to the war.
Lavrov reiterated Moscow’s commitment to the 2022 Istanbul security agreements but dismissed other proposed solutions as ineffective and without prospects. He further criticized Europe, claiming that it is effectively proposing intervention in Ukrainian territory, which he views as counterproductive to peace efforts.
The Russian Foreign Minister’s comments come amid ongoing tensions between Russia and Ukraine, with no immediate signs of a diplomatic breakthrough. Lavrov’s statements reflect Moscow’s continued insistence on its own terms for resolving the conflict, while accusing Ukraine and its Western allies of obstructing peace initiatives.
