3 More Palestinians Die of Starvation in Gaza in Last 24 Hours

In the Gaza Strip, where Israel’s genocidal attacks and blockade have imposed famine, three more Palestinians have died of starvation in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of starvation-related deaths to 370 since October 7, 2023.

Since October 7, 2023, the total number of deaths due to starvation in Gaza has risen to 370, including 131 children. Since the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC), supported by the United Nations, declared famine in Gaza on August 22, 2025, 92 people, including 16 children, have died from hunger and malnutrition.

The IPC’s latest report, published on August 15, 2025, confirmed that Gaza is experiencing “catastrophic” levels of famine, classified as Phase 5, the highest level of food insecurity. The report stated that “after 22 months of relentless conflict, over half a million people in Gaza are facing catastrophic conditions characterized by starvation, poverty, and death.”

Gaza is Dying of Starvation:
Under Israel’s brutal attacks and tight blockade, which severely restricts the entry of humanitarian aid, Gaza is experiencing a humanitarian catastrophe marked by widespread hunger, lack of water, medicine, medical supplies, and hygiene materials.

Deaths from starvation, particularly among children, are on the rise. Local and international organizations have accused Israel of using “hunger and thirst as weapons of war.”

Israel’s military has destroyed 88% of Gaza’s civilian infrastructure and continues to target displaced Palestinians in areas where they have sought refuge. With a population of approximately 2.3 million, nearly 2 million Palestinians have been displaced by Israel’s attacks and evacuation orders, with many forced to flee multiple times.

Displaced Palestinians, deprived of basic necessities, are struggling to survive in makeshift tents or overcrowded schools with inadequate hygiene facilities, where infectious diseases are spreading.

Meanwhile, the Israeli army continues its daily attacks, bombing tents and civilian shelters where displaced people are taking refuge.
