Trump Urges European Leaders: “Stop Buying Russian Oil”
U.S. President Donald Trump has called on European leaders to stop purchasing oil from Russia, emphasizing that such purchases fund Russia’s war efforts, particularly in Ukraine.
Kokcha News Agency – During a virtual meeting of the “Coalition of Volunteers” for the Ukraine war, hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron and other European leaders, U.S. President Donald Trump urged European leaders to halt their purchases of Russian oil.
According to information obtained by AA from a White House official, Trump, who joined the meeting from his office in the White House, reminded the leaders that Russia earned €1.1 billion from fuel sales to the European Union in just one year.
Trump stressed that Europe must stop buying Russian oil, which he said is financing the war. He also called on European leaders to apply economic pressure on China, accusing it of supporting Russia’s war efforts.
