Israel Destroys 30 Shops in Nablus Vegetable Market in West Bank

Kokcha News Agency – In a pre-dawn raid, Israeli forces accompanied by bulldozers stormed the vegetable market in the Beit Iba area of Nablus, destroying 30 shops without prior warning. According to the Palestinian news agency WAFA, the Israeli military forced merchants to evacuate their shops before beginning the demolition.

The market, known as “Hisbet Beit Iba,” plays a crucial role in supplying vegetables and fruits to the northern and central regions of the West Bank. It houses around 50 shops and employs approximately 400 workers.

Economic Impact
Local sources reported that the destruction caused thousands of shekels in losses for the merchants. The market has been repeatedly targeted by Israeli forces in recent years, with incidents of closures, arson, and demolitions, leading to significant financial hardships for Palestinian business owners.
