Venezuelan President Maduro: “No One Can Humiliate Venezuela”

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has condemned the U.S. military buildup in the Caribbean, declaring that Venezuela will never accept humiliation and is prepared to defend itself against any aggression.

Kokcha News Agency – In a televised address from Caracas, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro criticized the U.S. for its military movements in the Caribbean, accusing Washington of using the pretext of the war on drugs to target Venezuela.

Maduro stated, “No one can humiliate Venezuela, and we will never accept humiliation from the U.S. No generation in Venezuela will bow to imperialism—not today, not tomorrow. You are trying to attack us under the guise of fighting drugs, but we know your real intention is to overthrow our regime and steal our wealth. We are preparing both the military and the people to defend against this.”

U.S. Accused of Hypocrisy
Maduro pointed out that the U.S. is the world’s largest consumer of illegal drugs, yet it does little to address its own public health crisis caused by high drug consumption. He also claimed that 70% of the cocaine entering the U.S. from Colombia passes through Ecuadorian ports, citing data from the World Customs Organization.

Criticism of International Media
Maduro criticized international media for framing the situation as a “tension” between Venezuela and the U.S., arguing that the real issue is the U.S.’s aggressive stance toward Venezuela. He dismissed reports that Venezuela is mobilizing militia forces as a defensive measure, asking, “What else were we supposed to do?”

Defense Minister’s Warning
Venezuela’s Defense Minister, Vladimir Padrino Lopez, also addressed the situation, warning that the U.S. is creating an “unprecedented military threat” in the Caribbean. Lopez stated that the U.S. is attempting to sow division and betrayal within Venezuela’s Bolivarian National Armed Forces and emphasized the need to strengthen internal stability.

U.S. Military Buildup
The U.S. has recently deployed several warships, including the USS Gravely, USS Jason Dunham, and USS Sampson, to the Caribbean, citing the need to combat drug cartels. However, Venezuela views these movements as a direct threat.

In response, Maduro has mobilized 4.5 million militia members, declaring that Venezuela is ready to repel any attack. U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has stated that the U.S. military is prepared for a potential regime change operation in Venezuela.
