Tajikistan Sends Humanitarian Aid to Earthquake-Stricken Afghanistan

Under the instructions of Tajik President Emomali Rahmon, a humanitarian aid convoy has been sent to Afghanistan to assist those affected by the recent devastating earthquakes.

Kokcha News Agency – On the morning of September 8, Tajikistan dispatched a humanitarian aid convoy to Afghanistan, following the devastating earthquakes that struck the country on August 31 and September 1. The aid, which includes over 3,000 tons of essential supplies, was sent under the directives of President Emomali Rahmon, reflecting Tajikistan’s commitment to supporting its neighbor in times of crisis.

Contents of the Aid
The aid package consists of 24 types of essential goods, including:

  • Food items such as flour, oil, sugar, and rice
  • Bedding, clothing, and footwear for children, adolescents, and adults
  • Tents and building materials, including reinforcement, boards, slate, and cement

A Gesture of Solidarity
This humanitarian effort is a testament to the compassion of the Tajik people and the humane, good-neighborly policies of Tajikistan under the leadership of President Emomali Rahmon. The aid aims to alleviate the suffering of those affected by the earthquakes, which caused significant material damage and loss of life in Afghanistan.
