Trump Calls for NATO Unity in Imposing Sanctions on Russia

Former U.S. President Donald J. Trump has sent a letter to NATO countries and the world, urging collective action to impose severe sanctions on Russia and halt oil purchases, while also suggesting hefty tariffs on China to help end the Russia-Ukraine war.

Kokcha News Agency- In a letter addressed to NATO countries and the global community, former U.S. President Donald J. Trump outlined a plan to impose significant sanctions on Russia, contingent on all NATO members agreeing to stop purchasing Russian oil. Trump criticized NATO’s commitment to victory as “far less than 100%” and called the continued oil purchases by some members “shocking,” arguing that it weakens their negotiating power against Russia.

Trump stated, “I am ready to go when you are ready. Just say when?” He also proposed that NATO, as a group, impose tariffs of 50 to 100% on China, which he believes would help end the “deadly but ridiculous” war. Trump argued that China has strong control over Russia, and these tariffs would undermine that influence.

Trump emphasized that this is not “Trump’s war” (as he claimed it would never have started if he were president) but rather “Biden and Zelensky’s war.” He expressed his desire to help end the conflict and save thousands of Russian and Ukrainian lives, noting that 7,118 people lost their lives just last week.

Trump concluded by stating that if NATO acts as he suggests, the war would end quickly, saving countless lives. If not, he warned, NATO would be wasting his time, as well as the time, energy, and money of the United States.
