Kokcha News Agency – US President Donald Trump revealed that he will meet Chinese President Xi Jinping at the APEC Summit in South Korea this October, and he plans to visit China in early 2026. The announcement came after a phone call between the two leaders, which Trump described as “very productive.”
In a statement shared on the US-based social media platform Truth Social, Trump highlighted that significant progress was made on several key issues, including trade, the fentanyl crisis, the Russia-Ukraine war, and the TikTok deal. Trump expressed satisfaction with the approval of the TikTok agreement and stated that both leaders are looking forward to meeting at the APEC Summit.
Trump said, “President Xi and I have agreed to meet at the APEC Summit in South Korea later this year, and I will visit China in early 2026. President Xi will also visit the US at an appropriate time.”
The US President also noted that the TikTok deal, which was recently finalized between the US and China, is a significant step forward. “We are pleased with the approval of the TikTok deal, and both of us are eagerly looking forward to meeting at the APEC Summit,” Trump added.
