Estonia Reports Russian Warplanes Violated Its Airspace
Estonia has announced that three Russian MiG-31 warplanes violated its airspace for 12 minutes near Vaindloo Island, marking the fourth such incident this year and prompting a strong diplomatic protest from Tallinn.

Kokcha News Agency – Estonia’s public broadcaster ERR reported that three Russian MiG-31 warplanes entered Estonian airspace without permission early this morning. The aircraft remained in Estonian airspace for 12 minutes near Vaindloo Island before exiting.
Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna condemned the violation, stating that this year marks the fourth time Russia has breached Estonian airspace. He described today’s incident as “unprecedented” due to the entry of three warplanes simultaneously.
Tsahkna emphasized the need for increased political and economic pressure on Russia in response to its aggressive behavior and repeated attempts to test NATO’s borders. “Russia’s actions are a clear provocation, and we must respond with stronger measures,” he said.
In response to the airspace violation, the Estonian government summoned Russia’s chargé d’affaires in Tallinn to the Foreign Ministry to deliver a formal protest note.
