Deadly Traffic Accident in Maidan Wardak: Seven Killed, Two Injured

The Taliban police command in Maidan Wardak announced that seven people, including a woman, were killed and two others injured after a Corolla car collided with a Type 404 passenger bus in Sayedabad district. The incident occurred in the Shiniz Valley area.

Kokcha News Agency – The Taliban police command in Maidan Wardak reported a deadly traffic accident in Sayedabad district.

Yusuf Asrar, spokesperson for the Taliban police command in Maidan Wardak, stated that the incident occurred around 2:00 PM on Friday, September 28, in the Shiniz Valley area.

According to reports, a Corolla car collided with a Type 404 passenger bus, resulting in the deaths of seven people, including a woman, and leaving two others injured. The injured were transferred to the provincial hospital in Ghazni, but no further details were provided about their condition or the exact cause of the accident.

This incident comes after a previous accident on September 5, when a passenger bus overturned in the Arghandi area of the Kabul-Kandahar highway, killing at least 25 people and injuring 27 others.

The Kabul-Kandahar highway has recently seen an increase in fatal traffic accidents, with excessive speed and disregard for traffic rules cited as major contributing factors.
