Belgian Police Arrest 47-Year-Old Afghan Man for Triple Murder

A 47-year-old Afghan man has been arrested in Belgium on suspicion of murdering his ex-wife and two other men, just days after being convicted of domestic violence.

Kokcha News Agency – Belgian police arrested a 47-year-old Afghan man in the city of Roulers on Sunday, following a triple murder that shocked the local community.

The suspect is accused of killing his 43-year-old ex-wife and two men, aged 45 and 67, in separate knife attacks. Authorities were alerted to the incident after a domestic violence call around noon.

According to officials, the suspect first killed a 45-year-old man, described as a family acquaintance, before targeting his ex-wife at another location. Later that evening, a 67-year-old man was also found dead.

After a several-hour manhunt, the suspect was apprehended near a local train station close to the crime scene.

The prosecutor’s office confirmed that the suspect had been sentenced to one year in prison for domestic violence just a week prior but was released after the verdict. Investigations are ongoing to determine the motive behind the killings.
