Russian Defense Ministry: Russian Forces Take Control of Four Residential Areas in Ukraine
The Russian Defense Ministry announced that its forces have taken control of four residential areas in the Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, and Donetsk regions of Ukraine over the past week. The ministry also reported extensive attacks on Ukrainian military facilities and infrastructure.
Kokcha News Agency: The Russian Defense Ministry stated in a release that its forces, between September 20 and 26, have gained control of four residential areas in Ukraine.
These areas include Yunakivka in the Sumy region, Berezove and Kalynivske in the Dnipropetrovsk region, and Peryizhne in the Donetsk People’s Republic.
The ministry emphasized that the Russian military carried out large-scale attacks on military industrial facilities, transportation and energy infrastructure, ammunition depots, military airfield infrastructure, and drone assembly and usage centers during this period.
Additionally, locations temporarily occupied by Ukrainian forces and foreign mercenaries were targeted with high-precision weapons and drones.
The Russian Defense Ministry also reported that over 1,700 Ukrainian military drones were shot down by Russian air defense systems in the past week. These actions are part of Russia’s efforts to weaken Ukraine’s military capabilities and advance into strategic areas.
