Greece Warns Netanyahu: “You Are Losing Your Remaining Friends”

Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis warned Israel at the United Nations General Assembly, stating that continued attacks on Gaza risk alienating its remaining allies.

Kokcha News Agency: Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, speaking at the United Nations General Assembly, cautioned Israel that its ongoing offensive in Gaza could lead to the loss of its remaining international allies.

As one of Israel’s key partners within the European Union, Mitsotakis emphasized that while Israel has the right to defend itself following the October 7, 2023, Hamas attacks, the deaths of thousands of children cannot be justified.

Mitsotakis stated, “The continuation of this policy will harm Israel’s long-term interests and lead to the erosion of international support.” He further warned that if Israel continues its current stance, which undermines the possibility of a two-state solution, it risks losing its remaining allies.

Greece has developed close ties with Israel in recent years, particularly in the context of energy projects and oil exploration in the Mediterranean, as well as in response to regional developments in Syria.
