Germany to Provide Security Support for Informal EU Summit in Copenhagen
Germany will provide security support for the informal European Union (EU) summit scheduled to take place in Copenhagen, Denmark, in early October, amid concerns over unidentified drones near civilian and military facilities.

Kokcha News Agency – Germany has announced that it will provide security support for the upcoming informal EU summit in Copenhagen, Denmark, following reports of unidentified drones near civilian and military facilities. According to a statement from the German Ministry of Defense, Denmark has requested assistance from various countries to ensure the security of the summit.
Germany will deploy Counter-small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-sUAS) to counter potential drone threats. German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius and Chief of Staff General Carsten Breuer have approved the deployment of German military units to Denmark. Advance teams will conduct on-site assessments and coordinate operational plans with Danish authorities.
The German Ministry of Defense also noted that NATO plans to deploy the frigate Hamburg and other assets as part of its Baltic Sentry mission to support security efforts.

In addition, Denmark has banned all civilian drone flights throughout the week leading up to the EU summit.
