Argentine President Javier Milei Cancels Netanyahu’s Planned Visit Amid Public Backlash Fear

Kokcha News Agency – Argentine President Javier Milei has abruptly canceled Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s planned visit to Argentina, according to reports from Israel’s Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper. Netanyahu, who was in the United States for the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), had planned to visit Argentina, one of the few countries that still welcomes him.

However, Milei, who met with Netanyahu during the UNGA, reportedly told the Israeli Prime Minister, “Do not come,” citing fears of public backlash and concerns over losing votes ahead of Argentina’s upcoming parliamentary elections.

During the UNGA, hundreds of delegates from various countries protested Netanyahu’s presence by walking out of the hall, leaving him to address a nearly empty room.

The cancellation comes as Netanyahu faces increasing international isolation due to Israel’s ongoing military operations in Gaza and the West Bank, which have drawn widespread condemnation from human rights organizations and several countries.
