First Meeting of Afghan Political Activists and Groups Kicks Off in Islamabad
The first meeting of Afghan political activists and groups began in Islamabad on Monday, October 7, under the title "Towards Unity and Trust," aiming to strengthen regional cooperation and outline a vision for Afghanistan's political future.

Kokcha News Agency: The two-day meeting, titled “Towards Unity and Trust,” is being held in Islamabad with the goal of “enhancing regional cooperation and sketching a vision for Afghanistan’s political future.”
Organized by the “Women for Afghanistan” organization and the “Institute of Strategic Stability in South Asia,” the event focuses on dialogue between Afghan leaders and their Pakistani counterparts.
The agenda includes discussions on “ways to build trust and mutual understanding.” The meeting, which had been postponed several times, features the participation of several Afghan political figures, women activists, and diplomats.
Prominent attendees include Fawzia Koofi, a former member of the Afghan Parliament; Mustafa Mastoor, former Minister of Economy; Nasir Ahmad Andisha, Afghanistan’s Permanent Representative to the UN in Geneva; Ahmadullah Alizai, former Governor of Kabul; and Tahir Zahir, former Governor of Bamiyan.
Other participants include Abdullah Qarloq, a representative of the National Movement Party, and Masooma Khawari, a representative of the Islamic Unity Party of Afghanistan. Bashir Ahmad Ansari, a religious writer and researcher, is also present at the meeting.
