Close Trump Ally Issues Stern Warning: Is America in Netanyahu’s Hands?
Tucker Carlson, a prominent figure in right-wing American media, has called for President Donald Trump to distance himself from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, accusing Netanyahu of claiming to "control" the U.S. president and warning that his actions are damaging America’s interests.

Kokcha News Agency: In a recently released video, Tucker Carlson, a influential conservative media personality, urged President Donald Trump to distance himself from Benjamin Netanyahu, the hawkish Israeli Prime Minister, who Carlson claims has boasted about controlling the U.S. president.
Carlson, one of the few conservative voices in the U.S. to criticize unconditional American support for Israel and its extensive military actions in Gaza, stated in the video: “Bibi (Netanyahu) is walking around the Middle East, in his own country, and telling people explicitly—without any ambiguity—and I’m not guessing here because I’ve spoken to people he’s said this to—‘I control the United States of America. I control Trump.’”
The former Fox News host argued: “He (Netanyahu) says this, and again, I’m not guessing, this is a fact. I challenge them to say this isn’t true because it is true. They know it’s true. I’m an American. How do you think that makes me feel, even if I didn’t vote for Trump—which I did, I campaigned for Trump—even if I were a Joe Biden supporter, this is insulting. You can’t treat us this way. It’s really demeaning. I can’t tolerate it, and I shouldn’t have to.”
Carlson emphasized that his criticism is directed at Netanyahu personally and not at Israel, its people, or Jews in general.
He added: “The secular prime minister of a government is widely damaging the presidency of Trump, the United States, and the world. This is an unbalanced individual who is deeply interfering in American politics. He is hated by the entire world and needs the United States, but at the same time, he looks down on Trump and humiliates him in front of his entourage.”
Carlson warned: “Objectively, distancing ourselves from Bibi is the necessary and urgent next step. He is damaging Israel, our country, and the world.”
The influential right-wing figure stressed that his criticism is more about American leaders than Israel itself. According to him, U.S. leaders, in their support for Israel, have plunged the country into an era of “humiliation.”
In his podcast “System Update,” Carlson also blamed American leaders for allowing the U.S. to be manipulated by another government.
He said: “I criticize the leaders of my own country; those who allow a nation of 350 million people to be forced to do things that are against the interests of me and my children, for the sake of another government. This is a clear violation of the most basic agreement we have with our leaders: please represent us, at least most of the time. But they don’t do that. There’s a constant humiliation going on that’s designed to drive us crazy, to make us look hateful. I won’t give them the satisfaction of becoming what they call me. I’m not hateful, and I never will be. But I will never accept this. I shouldn’t have to. I have nothing to be ashamed of.”
Carlson described Israel’s war as a form of “expansionism” and said that instead of responding logically to his criticisms, his detractors resort to personal attacks and labeling him as a “bigot.”
He added: “They just yell and curse at people. But I think I’m lucky because I don’t see myself that way, so these insults don’t affect me. You know, if they said I’ve gained 10 kilos, it might upset me. But when they call me a bigot, I don’t get upset because I know I’m not.”
However, Netanyahu, in an interview with Fox News, denied these claims, stating: “Trump does what he believes is in the best interest of America. I’ve said many times that I don’t make decisions for Trump. He is the most independent and remarkable leader I’ve seen in all my years.”
These statements not only call Netanyahu’s influence into question but also threaten to undermine Trump’s credibility. If these claims gain traction among conservatives, it could increase pressure on Trump to create a more visible distance from Netanyahu.
This development signals a shift in the political discourse of the American right regarding Israel, where unconditional support for the country was previously a given.
Now, it appears that some within this faction are seeking to reevaluate the extent of Israel’s influence on U.S. policy.
Analysts believe that even if these claims are not entirely accurate, their dissemination in high-profile media could have significant consequences for U.S.-Israel relations and may lead to a reevaluation of White House policies toward Tel Aviv.
Additionally, some observers argue that these statements could erode Netanyahu’s credibility among right-wing American supporters and even among regional allies, as such claims could weaken Israel’s image as a trusted U.S. partner.
