Denmark Bans Civilian Drone Flights After Repeated Incidents Over Military Bases
Denmark has banned civilian drone flights following repeated sightings of drones over several military bases, with the country labeling these incidents as part of a "hybrid attack."
Kokcha News Agency: In response to multiple drone sightings over military bases, Denmark has imposed a ban on civilian drone flights from Monday to Friday of next week. The Danish military stated that it has used “multiple capabilities” to respond to the drone activity observed on Sunday night but did not provide further details.
Earlier this week, drone flights caused the temporary closure of several airports in Denmark, including Copenhagen Airport, for nearly four hours on Monday.
Denmark has described these drone activities as part of a “hybrid attack.” While the government has not definitively identified the responsible party, Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen has pointed to Moscow as the likely culprit, calling Russia the “primary country threatening European security.” The Kremlin has denied these allegations.
