Kokcha News Agency: U.S. President Donald Trump, in a joint press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House, unveiled a detailed 20-point plan for Gaza.
The plan, if accepted by all parties, promises an immediate cessation of hostilities, a phased withdrawal of Israeli forces, and the establishment of a new transitional government in Gaza without Hamas’ involvement. Trump emphasized that the plan would lead to the release of all prisoners within 72 hours if Hamas agrees to the terms.
Trump stated, “This plan means the immediate end of the war, not just in Gaza, but the war itself will end.” He added that Arab and Muslim countries have pledged written commitments to support the disarmament of Gaza and the dismantling of Hamas’ military capabilities.
The U.S. President also assured Netanyahu of full support if Hamas rejects the deal, saying, “If Hamas refuses the agreement, Bibi, you will have our full support to do what needs to be done.”
The plan includes the formation of a transitional authority in Gaza, with figures like former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair potentially playing a role. Trump expressed confidence in the willingness of regional partners to support the initiative, stating, “Our Arab and Muslim partners are fully ready to step up and fulfill their commitments for the benefit of Gaza and the entire region.”
Trump criticized the two-state solution, aligning with Netanyahu’s stance, and argued that the recognition of Palestine by several Western countries, including the UK, France, and Canada, was a mistake. He also referenced the Abraham Accords, emphasizing their role in bringing peace to the region.
