Putin Arrives in Tajikistan on a State Visit
President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, arrived in the Republic of Tajikistan on a state visit. He was warmly welcomed by the President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, at Dushanbe International Airport.
Kokcha News Agency – On the evening of October 8, 2025, the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, arrived in Tajikistan on a state visit. He was warmly welcomed by the President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, at Dushanbe International Airport.
The airport square was decorated with the national flags of both countries, portraits of the leaders, and slogans celebrating the friendship between the peoples of Russia and Tajikistan. A red carpet was laid out, and honor guards stood on both sides of the pathway to welcome the distinguished guest.
During a brief conversation at the airport, the two leaders, President Emomali Rahmon and President Vladimir Putin, discussed the program of the Russian President’s state visit to Tajikistan, participation in the Central Asia-Russia Summit, and the upcoming session of the Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
It should be noted that the state visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to Tajikistan will continue on October 9, with the Central Asia-Russia Summit taking place in the second half of the day. The session of the Council of Heads of State of the CIS will be held on October 10.
