U.S. President Donald Trump expressed his belief that the ceasefire process in Gaza will continue, stating, "Today is an incredible day not just for the Middle East, but for the entire world."

Kokcha News Agency– U.S. President Donald Trump delivered a speech during the signing ceremony of the Sharm El-Sheikh Agreement, held at a summit in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, which brought together world leaders. In his remarks, Trump conveyed his confidence that the ceasefire process in Gaza will persist.

Trump sat at the same table with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. During his speech, he said, “It took 3,000 years to get to this point, can you believe it? But this situation (the agreement) will continue, it will go on.”

Trump emphasized, “Today is an incredible day not just for the Middle East, but for the entire world,” highlighting the historical significance of this process.

Thanks to President Erdoğan:
In his speech, Trump thanked all the leaders who contributed to the peace process in the Middle East, addressing President Erdoğan directly, he said, “His army is much stronger than he says. If you look at some of the recent processes, he was winning but didn’t ask for any praise. He’s a tough man, but he’s my friend, and he’s always been by my side when I needed him. That’s why I want to thank President Erdoğan.”

Trump also separately thanked Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim and Egyptian President El-Sisi, stating that both countries played a very important role in this process, which is why Egypt was chosen to host the event.

Gaza Reconstruction Process:
Trump expressed his belief that certain Arab countries, in particular, will make significant contributions to the reconstruction of Gaza, saying, “All these countries have so much, there’s more money and power behind us. This is a very unique position for them, they are truly among the world’s most powerful and wealthy countries.”

Trump added, “There are wonderful people here who really care about their countries, and that’s why they all came together to fix Gaza. They want to fix everything.”
