Sánchez: The Main Perpetrators of the Genocide in Gaza Must Face Justice
Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez emphasized that peace in Gaza does not mean impunity for Israel, stating, "The main perpetrators of the genocide committed in Gaza must face justice."

Kokcha News Agency – Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, in an interview with Cadena Ser Radio, expressed his satisfaction with the “window of opportunity” for peace in Gaza. He stressed the importance of ending violence in Gaza and creating an open dialogue between the two states but warned that impunity should not be allowed.
Sánchez stated, “Peace does not mean forgetting or impunity. The main perpetrators of the genocide committed in Gaza must face justice.” He reiterated his support for a two-state solution, emphasizing that the occupied West Bank should not be forgotten. He also called for Europe to support and oversee the reconstruction of Gaza.
The Spanish Prime Minister highlighted that the arms embargo on Israel would continue until peace in Gaza is solidified. He did not rule out the possibility of Spain sending troops to Gaza as part of a peacekeeping mission.
Ceasefire and Prisoner Exchange Agreement in Gaza:
U.S. President Donald Trump announced on October 9 that Israel and Hamas had approved the first phase of a ceasefire plan in Gaza during ongoing negotiations in Egypt. The agreement was signed in Egypt and came into effect on October 10 with the approval of the Israeli government.
The peace summit on the Gaza ceasefire agreement was held yesterday in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, with the participation of numerous heads of state, including Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, U.S. President Donald Trump, and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
