UNRWA: Israel Blocking Aid to Gaza Despite Ceasefire

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) has stated that despite the ceasefire, Israeli authorities have been blocking the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza for over seven months. The agency has called for immediate permission to deliver the required amount of aid to Gaza.

UNRWA has announced that it has sufficient food supplies outside Gaza and that its teams are ready to address urgent needs for the next three months. However, the agency has expressed frustration over the continued blockade of humanitarian aid by Israeli authorities.

Despite the ongoing ceasefire, Israeli authorities have prevented UNRWA from delivering any aid to Gaza for more than seven months.

The agency has emphasized that it must be allowed to immediately transport the required amount of humanitarian assistance into Gaza to address the critical needs of the population.

UNRWA’s statement highlights the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza and the urgent need for Israel to allow the unimpeded delivery of aid. The agency’s call for immediate access underscores the critical situation faced by Gaza’s residents, even in the context of a ceasefire.
