Syria Unveils New National Logo, Symbolizing Unity After Baath Regime’s Fall
Syria has introduced a new national logo, marking a symbolic step in its reconstruction efforts following the fall of the 61-year-old Baath regime. The logo was unveiled by President Ahmed Shara at a ceremony in Damascus.
The new logo, presented at the Presidential Palace in Damascus, will replace the symbols, seals, official documents, ID cards, and passports of all state institutions.
Design of the New Logo:
The logo features a falcon with 14 large feathers on its wings, representing Syria’s provinces. The number of stars on the falcon’s shield has been increased from two to three. The two wheat ears, symbolizing agriculture, have been removed from the previous design.
President’s Remarks:
President Ahmed Shara emphasized the significance of the new logo, stating, “Anyone who studies history will see that Damascus is the beginning and end of the world’s story. The period under the ousted regime was the most humiliating chapter in Damascus’ history.”
He added, “The new national logo represents a united Syria that rejects division and fragmentation,” and thanked all Syrians who contributed to its creation.
