Kokcha News Agency: Qatar has announced the start of damage assessment procedures for properties belonging to citizens and residents following the interception of Iranian missiles aimed at the Al-Udeid Air Base. The decision was made during an emergency meeting of the Civil Defense Council, chaired by Qatari Interior Minister Khalifa bin Hamad Al Thani, in accordance with the directives of Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
The meeting focused on immediate measures to evaluate the damages caused by the missile interception and to plan compensation for affected individuals.
Background on the Missile Attack
On June 23, Qatar reported that its air defense systems had successfully neutralized an Iranian missile attack targeting the Al-Udeid Air Base, a critical military installation hosting U.S. and coalition forces. The attack was part of escalating tensions in the region, with Iran responding to U.S. strikes on its nuclear facilities.
