Iran’s UN Envoy Condemns Israeli Attacks on Syria, Calls for End to Impunity

Iran’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Majid Takht-Ravanchi, has condemned Israel’s attacks on Syria, accusing it of violating international law and human rights, and calling for an end to its impunity.

Kokcha News Agency: In a speech at the United Nations Security Council meeting on Syria, Iran’s Permanent Representative, Majid Takht-Ravanchi, strongly condemned Israel’s military actions against Syria, stating that they violate international law and human rights.

Takht-Ravanchi accused Israel of being the primary threat to peace in the region, citing its targeting of Syria’s infrastructure and its use of starvation as a weapon of war in Gaza. He also criticized the support provided by the United States and Western countries, which he said emboldens Israel’s aggressive approach.

The Iranian envoy highlighted Israel’s 12-day military aggression against the Islamic Republic, during which it violated international laws and killed 1,100 civilians, underscoring the criminal nature of Israel’s actions.

Takht-Ravanchi called for an end to Israel’s impunity and urged the international community to respect Syria’s territorial integrity. He also called on the Syrian interim government to uphold the rights of all minorities in the country.

Iran’s UN envoy has called for accountability for Israel’s actions in Syria and Gaza, emphasizing the need to respect Syria’s sovereignty and protect the rights of all its citizens.
