Kokcha News Agency: The humanitarian crisis in Gaza continues to deepen as residents struggle with hunger due to Israel’s blockade. Recently, heartbreaking images have surfaced online showing children and elderly people in Gaza scrambling to collect rice mixed with sand that was dropped from the air.
The footage, shared by Palestinian activists and journalists, was verified by Al Jazeera. Journalist Motasem Adli described the scene, saying, “Planes are dropping aid. Desperate souls are racing to survive,” adding that the images “summarize the tragedy of a people besieged from all sides.”
Salma Kaddoumi, another activist, wrote, “People starving in Gaza are being fed rice covered in sand, dropped in a degrading manner from planes over displaced individuals.”
The images have drawn widespread condemnation, highlighting the dire conditions faced by Gazans as they endure the dual challenges of hunger and displacement.
