US Halts Visa Issuance to Gazans Amid Ongoing Conflict

Kokcha News Agency – The U.S. Department of State announced on the social media platform X that it has temporarily halted the issuance of all visitor visas to individuals from Gaza. The decision comes as the U.S. conducts a full and comprehensive review of the processes and procedures used for issuing temporary medical and humanitarian visas.

In a statement, the Department of State said, “While we conduct a thorough review of the processes and procedures used for issuing a limited number of temporary medical and humanitarian visas in recent days, we are suspending all visitor visas for Gazan individuals.”

Meanwhile, the humanitarian crisis in Gaza continues to escalate. Today, hospitals in Gaza received 70 dead and 385 wounded, bringing the total number of casualties since Israel’s military operations began on October 7, 2023, to 61,897 dead and 155,660 injured.S1lCG87P7U21wf5igq9_aA US Halts Visa Issuance to Gazans Amid Ongoing Conflict
