Israel Closes Ramon Airport Again After Drone Attack from Yemen
Israel has once again shut down Ramon Airport in the south following a drone attack launched from Yemen, raising concerns over regional security and ongoing tensions.

KABUL (Kokcha.News) — Israel has closed Ramon Airport to flights after a drone (UAV) originating from Yemen infiltrated the country’s southern region. The Israeli military confirmed that sirens were activated in the Be’er Ora (Arava Valley) area as the drone approached.
According to the military, the drone attack was intercepted, but concerns over falling shrapnel led to the activation of sirens. Channel 12 television reported that Ramon Airport would remain closed until further notice. This comes just days after a previous drone attack on September 7, which lightly injured one person and prompted the temporary closure of the airport.
The Houthi group in Yemen, which is backed by Iran, has not yet claimed responsibility for the attack. The Israeli Airports Authority had previously closed Ramon Airport following the September 7 incident, which involved a drone that went undetected by defense systems.
