OpenAI Developing AI-Powered Job Platform to Rival LinkedIn

OpenAI, the creator of ChatGPT, is working on a new AI-driven job platform, "OpenAI Jobs Platform," set to launch by mid-2026, positioning itself as a direct competitor to Microsoft-owned LinkedIn.

Kokcha News Agency – OpenAI has confirmed that it is developing an AI-powered job platform, tentatively named “OpenAI Jobs Platform,” which is expected to launch by mid-2026. This move is seen as a direct challenge to LinkedIn, which is owned by Microsoft, one of OpenAI’s largest investors.

The new platform aims to leverage advanced machine learning algorithms to create “high-level connections” between job seekers and employers, offering a more personalized and efficient job-matching experience.

OpenAI Applications CEO Fidji Simo emphasized that the platform is not just a technological innovation but also a tool to expand opportunities in the job market. Simo stated that AI will “unlock more opportunities” rather than leaving people unemployed.

The platform promises to provide employers with tools to find the most suitable candidates for their needs, while giving job seekers access to roles that match their skills and experience.

**AI-Powered Resumes on the Rise**
In recent years, many job seekers have been using AI tools like ChatGPT to enhance their resumes and applications. However, experts caution that this method does not always guarantee success, as some platforms filter applications using AI, while some employers still prefer human-crafted documents.

**Competition Heats Up**
OpenAI’s foray into the job market is expected to accelerate the rise of AI-driven recruitment technologies. Industry experts predict that by 2026, AI platforms will play a decisive role in job search and recruitment processes, intensifying competition with established players like LinkedIn.
