Tensions Rise Between Microsoft and White House Over Israel Controversy
A potential crisis is brewing between Microsoft and the White House after the tech giant suspended some of its services to Israel, citing concerns over the use of its cloud technology for surveillance in the West Bank. U.S. President Donald Trump has called for the dismissal of Microsoft’s global relations chief.

Kokcha News Agency: U.S.-based tech giant Microsoft has suspended certain services provided to the Israeli Defense Ministry following evidence that its cloud services were being used for surveillance of civilians in Gaza and the West Bank.
Microsoft President Brad Smith stated that the company launched an investigation after allegations surfaced that the Israeli military was using its cloud platform to store civilian data.
Smith emphasized that Microsoft respects and protects the privacy rights of its customers and that the services would remain suspended until the investigation is completed.
Trump’s Reaction:
In response to Microsoft’s decision, U.S. President Donald Trump called for the firing of Microsoft’s global relations chief, Lisa Monaco. Trump argued that Monaco’s position gives her access to sensitive information and expressed discomfort with her close ties to the Democratic Party.
Monaco previously served as a security advisor under President Barack Obama and as deputy attorney general under President Joe Biden.
