Microsoft Warns of Chinese Cyberattacks Exploiting SharePoint Vulnerabilities
Microsoft has revealed that Chinese state-backed hackers are exploiting security flaws in SharePoint servers, targeting both U.S. government agencies and private companies worldwide.

Kokcha News Agency: American tech giant Microsoft has issued a warning about Chinese cybercriminals exploiting vulnerabilities in its SharePoint servers.
In a recent blog post, Microsoft detailed that two Chinese state-backed groups, Linen Typhoon and Violet Typhoon, along with another threat actor known as Storm-2603, have been targeting on-premises SharePoint servers using “spoofing identity” and “remote code execution” vulnerabilities.
These attacks have primarily affected unpatched systems, prompting Microsoft to release comprehensive security updates for all supported SharePoint server versions.
The company has urged customers to apply these updates immediately to protect their systems. Microsoft also anticipates that these threat actors will continue to target vulnerable SharePoint servers, emphasizing the importance of timely patching.
